Betty Jean Krause

Betty J. Krause, 89, Oshkosh, was called to her eternal home Saturday, August 26, 2017. She was born October 9, 1927, in Waupaca, the daughter of Donald and Eva (Cartwright) Baxter. Betty married Orville H. Krause on December 15, 1945, in New London, and he preceded her in death March 15, 1992. Betty enjoyed crochet and her beautiful blankets were admired by family members, as well as a big turtle that was made for her grandchildren to sit on. She also enjoyed paint and color by number pictures, where she could exercise her creative side some more. At one point her creativity with writing earned her a story about her dog in the Reader’s Digest. Above all else, Betty loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were very special to her. Betty was a member of Martin Luther Church, Oshkosh.
Betty is survived by her sons: Orville (Clara), Daryl (Mary), and Dave, all of Oshkosh; a daughter, Kathy (Rob) Deubler, Land O Lakes; 16 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren; a brother, Gordy (Karen) Baxter; sisters: Donna Lemke and Mickey (Dave) Janke; other family members and friends.
In addition to her husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Garrett; a daughter, Karen Hill; two sisters: Polly Rush and LeAnn Bosquez.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, with Rev. Nathan Ericson officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established for Martin Luther Church.
