Obituary for Donald Buren Christian

Donald Buren Christian, age 89, of Oshkosh, passed peacefully on Thursday July 13, 2017 at Park View Health Center, from the arms of his daughter into the arms of his Savior. He was born on February 12, 1928 in Oshkosh, a son of Raymond and Louise Piepenburg Christian.
He was a machinist at Rockwell International, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed car racing, watching football, especially the Rams, and many of the social events at Park View including, bingo, trivia, and music programs.
He is survived by his daughters Barbara Farry and Kathleen Schroeder, his grandchildren Matthew(Heidi) Schroeder, Joshua(Kim) Schroeder, Sylvia, and Christopher, six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews Steve(Irma) Christian, Patrick(Kimberly) Christian, Karen(Scott) Honsinger and Peggy(Shane) Raugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leland Christian.
Funeral services for Donald will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Park View Health Center for loving Donald as a member of their own family and also Affinity Hospice for their outstanding care.
