Howard G. Hofmeister

Howard G. Hofmeister, 66, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center following a short battle with colon cancer. He was born on June 16, 1951, the son of Howard and Mildred (Guenther) Hofmeister. On May 4, 2012, he was united in marriage to Imelda Miro after 27 years together. Howard enjoyed watching and playing sports, his favorites being golf and tennis. He was also an animal lover, feeding all wildlife in his backyard. Howard especially loved his three cats, Socks, Squeak, and Batman.
He is survived by his wife Imee; two sons, Erik (Bonnie) and Bryant (Jennifer) Hofmeister; one daughter, Michelle Hofmeister; four grandchildren, Breezy, Brynn, Bentley, and Balen; two sisters, Gene (Dave) Kasten, and Georgianna Thompson; Mother-in-law, Matilde Miro; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law, Onesimo Miro.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside, 100 Lake Point Drive, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. a brief service will be held with Chaplain Nathan Bettger officiating, followed by a time for sharing memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society or the Michael Wachtel Cancer Center.
Family would like to thank Dr. Brad Heraly and Dr. Bob Weber, Megan and the staff at the Michael Wachtel Cancer Center, Chaplain Nathan Bettger, and the staff at Mercy Medical Center for the care they gave to Howard.
