Ione E. Beduhn

Ione E. Beduhn, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Evergreen Manor with her family by her side. She was born on July 29, 1921, to Edwin and Elda (Germer) Ristow in Oshkosh. She was married to Norman A. Beduhn on August 24, 1940 in Oshkosh.
Ione graduated from Oshkosh High School. She married Norman a year later. Ione spent most of her years as a homemaker, raising their six children and making sure everything at home was taken care of while always loving life and the adventures it brought. She enjoyed her travels throughout the world.
Ione is survived by her three daughters Marilee Wells of Wauwatosa and Andra Schroeder of Kenosha, and Peggy (James) Wurzbach of Oshkosh; sons, Steven of Oshkosh, Stanley (Juli) of Oshkosh and Stuart (Laurelee) Beduhn of Larsen; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob) Sperry, Bill (Lisa) Schroeder, Susy (Kirk) Smith, Brad Rivera, Savannah Rivera, Sheila (Mark) Femal, Greg (Emilie) Wurzbach, Hannah, Spencer, Benjamin, and George Beduhn, and Carl (Hayley) Beduhn; great grandchildren, Laine, Ben, Max, Dominique, Dyisha, Quinn, Lily, Lucy, August, and Teagan; sister, Gloria Ristow of Milwaukee; and sister-in-law, Ardis Smith.
Ione was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Norman Beduhn.
A funeral service for Ione will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- (Westside) with Pastor Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church in Ione’s name.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Evergreen’s creekview household 7 and the nurses of Affinity Hospice for the care they provided.
