James E Boettcher

James E. Boettcher, 88, of Oshkosh died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Bethel Home. He was born March 7, 1929, in Augusta, WI, the son of the late Edward and Margaret Wolfgang Boettcher. He married Udine M. Pockrandt on May 17, 1958, in Loyal, WI and she preceded him in death on September 23, 1994.
James was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He had worked for 40 years at the Soo Line Railroad, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and playing cards.
James is survived by two sons, Mark (Theresa) Boettcher and Michael (Jane) Boettcher of Oshkosh; and five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Allison, Alexander, Daniel, and Matthew Boettcher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Meisner.
A funeral service for James will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
James’ family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for all of their wonderful care over the past couple years.
