Janet Margaret O'Neil

Janet M. O’Neil, age 92, of Oshkosh, passed Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Bethel Home. Janet was born on September 27, 1924 to the late John and Lou (Drowns) Stadler. She married Donald O’Neil on January 11, 1947 in Oshkosh. She worked at Food Queen in the Meat Department for 20 proud years.
Janet was a real people person full of fun. She was not one to sit around the house, she would go anywhere with anyone at the drop of a hat. She enjoyed her time getting out of the house and loved to have a vodka or two while playing the One Arm Bandit. If you asked her how old she was she would always answer 39 and holding! Some of her favorite things were, Hawaii, bingo, bacon, tic-tacs, wiener dogs, gravy and biscuits and always had a Kleenex in her pocket or in hand. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was very proud to be a German High Holder.
Janet is survived by her son Dan (Dianne) O’Neil; four grandkids, Shelly (Scott) Felker, Becky (Ross) Resop, Ryan O’Neil, Randy (Erika) O’Neil; two great-grandkids, Griffin Resop, Janet was his bacon grandma, Channing O’Neil; daughter-in-law, Kay O’Neil; sister, Mary (Auntie) Lou Strey. She is further survived by all her nieces and nephews who live in Rockford, Ill. who fondly called her Big E.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O’Neil; Son, Donnie O’Neil; daughter-in-law, Peggy O’Neil; granddaughter, Abby O’Neil; and brother-in-law, Morry Strey.
Services for Janet will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave, Oshkosh, WI) with Chaplain Nancy Twitchell officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the service time. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
