Obituary for Janet Marie Sohrweide

Janet M. Sohrweide, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017, at her residence. She was born on January 24, 1934, to Wilber and Viola (Belongie) Rivet in Neenah. Janet was married to Donald L. Sohrweide on October 21, 1953, in Winneconne.
She graduated High School and throughout life worked in child day care and at Miles Kimball. Janet enjoyed playing cards, attending movies, plays, sewing and baking.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Richard) Schneider, Peggy (Bill) Kunde and Linda (Chip) Christensen; brother Robert Rivet; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; sisters in law, Edna Mae Sohrweide and Carol Meilhan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Donald; sisters, Rosalie (Sy) Swederski, Grace (Charles) Heinz and Marcella (Ray) Kiesow; and brothers, Lawrence, James and Norman Rivet; grandchildren, Nicole and Eric Paulson and Olivia Christensen; sister in law Kathy Rivet; and brothers in law Wes Meilhan and Wayne Sohrweide.
A memorial service for Janet will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Bethany UCC (145 W 24th Ave.) with Rev. Deborah Bartelt officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Janet will be laid to rest in Winneconne Cemetery.
