Kenneth D. Seibold

January 12, 1933 — August 11, 2017

Kenneth Donald Seibold, age 84, passed away peacefully at his family home on Lake Buttes des Morts on Friday, August 11th surrounded by his daughters and neighbors. Ken was born January 12, 1933 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Adolph “Cy” and Maude (Zwickie) Seibold.
Ken graduated from Oshkosh High School. He entered into the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956, during the Korean War. Upon returning to Oshkosh he was employed at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and then the United States Postal Service where he retired in 1996.
Ken was an avid outdoorsmen. He enjoyed a lifetime of duck hunting and fishing on Lake Butte des Morts and the “Fur Farm” and deer hunting with his many friends at Indian Point Resort near Tomahawk, WI. Ken was beloved by all who knew him with his light-hearted, jovial sense of humor, generosity and kind, easy-going demeanor. Ken’s general attitude was, “don’t sweat it!” His Catholic faith was a strong presence in his life up until the very end. Ken was also a member of the American Legion, Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his daughters: Melissa Ann Seibold (Nevada City, CA) and Jennifer Lori Seibold (Burbank, CA); his grandson, Aiden Kennedy Cook (Nevada City, CA); ex-wife, Margie L. Pratt and “like-daughter,” Sara Christenson. Ken was preceded in death by his best friend, Audrey Raugh, his parents, sister, Delores Seibold and brother, Arthur Seibold.
The memorial service and funeral will be held on Saturday, September 16th at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter site Oshkosh, WI with a 10:00am visitation and 11:00am service. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be donated to Ducks Unlimited and Friends of the Earth. Memorials may be sent to Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 402 Waugoo Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54901 c/o the Seibold family.
