Maria Elena Alcorta

Maria Elena Alcorta, age 71, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born to the late Pedro and Simona (Perez) Rodriguez on November 9, 1946 in Crystal City, TX. Maria married the love of her life, Jesus Alcorta, on March 20, 1966 in Crystal City; together they had four children. Maria loved to sew, cook, and spend time with her family. She also loved music and western movies. Maria and Jesus are members at St. Raphael’s Parish.
Maria is survived by her husband, Jesus; four children, Rita (Victor) Melchor, Jesse (Belinda) Alcorta, Jorge (Tricia) Alcorta, Raquel (Luis) Fonseca; grandchildren, Victor E., Stephanie, Gary, Alyssia, David, Katelyn, Courtney, Matthew, Jessica, Erica, Luis; and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Rolando (Maria) and Raul (Rosa) Rodriguez; three sisters, Consuelo (Fransico) Solorzano, Maria Rita Cervantes, and Alma Teran.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her brother, Pedro Rodriguez Jr.
A private graveside service has been planned by the family.
