Obituary for William Raymond Siewert

William (Bill) Siewert, age 86, passed away on Friday October 27, 2017 at Park View Health Center. Bill was an honest, hard-working man who loved his family and his home. His good advice and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bill was a true fan of the Green Bay Packers, right from the start, and remained a fan until the end. He played semi-pro football for the Oshkosh Comets team in his younger days. Bill was a staff sergeant in the United States Army, a veteran of the war in Korea. When he got out of the service he went to work for Noffke Lumber. He remained there for 40 years, and when he retired he had never taken a sick day. The greatest accomplishment of his time at Noffkes, though, was meeting his wife of 61 years, Marjorie. They were married August 4, 1956 at St. John’s Catholic Parish in Oshkosh, where they were loyal members for many years. They raised a family, and lived in the home they built before they were married for almost 60 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Marjorie, and two daughters, Ann Knaus and Kim(Pat) Wallace. He is also survived by three grandchildren Maci Wallace, Eric(Amanda) Wallace, and Derek(Amy) Kloiber, a son-in-law Russ Kloiber, his sister Bonnie(Dan) Laux, brother and sisters-in-law Jim(Carol) Grose and Arlene Grose, two great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Lynn Kloiber, his parents Ray and Maxine Siewert, his brother Robert(Gus) Siewert, his mother and father-in-law Lester and Jean Grose, and brothers and sister-in-law Dick Grose, Bob Grose, and Janet(Bob) Zelke.
A memorial service for William will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Park View Health Center, especially the staff of Prairieside 2, and special friends Sister Kathleen Mlinar and Sister Carol Jean Peterson. They showed many acts of genuine kindness and love to Bill during the time he lived at PVHC. It made many things easier for Bill and his family.
