Adam Engelmann

Adam Engelman, 96, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully in Milwaukee on March 19, 2008. He was born on January 17, 1912 in Yugoslavia, the son of Stephan and Anna Engelmann. He married Katharina Mueller on January 19, 1939. His wife beloved wife preceded him in death in 1992. Also preceding him in death were his dear sister and brothers; Anna Schulz of Canada and Stephan and Ludwig Engelmann of Oshkosh. Adam, his wife, and daughter came to Oshkosh from Austria in 1952 under the sponsorship of the Rev. M. David Fetter of Peace Lutheran Church. He was employed by Robert Brand and Sons and later by the Buckstaff Co. as a cabinetmaker.Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth (Sebastyan) Ellenberger of Milwaukee; two granddaughters, Linda (Terry) Lintonen of Milwaukee, Lori (Paul) Ewan of Sussex; one grandson, Richard Ellenberger of Houston TX; two great granddaughters, Melanie Lintonen and Katie Ewan; one great grandson, Erik Ewan.There will be a private memorial service at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating.
