Alberta L. Jordan

Alberta Louise Jordan, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Bethel Home. She entered this world on April 2, 1918, daughter of Charlie and Louise [Lehman] Krause of Berlin, WI. She attended Rosebud School in Borth, WI where she claimed the nickname Dotty, which she carried throughout her life. Following graduation from high school, Alberta married Vic Jordan on September 5, 1938 at First English Lutheran Church of Oshkosh. Together they dedicated their lives to family, especially their grandchildren. They were active in church activities; belonged to the Christian Fellowship Society, Alberta taught Sunday School, was a member of the Dorcas Circle, and enjoyed helping with church dinner functions. She was also a member of the Twentieth Century Club.Fond memories will be cherished by Albertas surviving family: a daughter, Joby (Chuck) Reigel of Oshkosh; three grandchildren: Leslie (Mike) Herring of Oshkosh, Stacia (Darren Mize of Dublin, OH, and Jordan (Jen) Reigel of Lone Tree, CO. She is further survived by five great-grandchildren: Amanda (Jim) Wickersham, Alisha Herring, MacKenzie and Malayna Mize, and Miles Reigel.Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Viola Babcock (IL), two brothers, Herb Krause (Oshkosh) and Bob Krause (NY), and a granddaughter, Renae Reigel.A funeral service for Alberta will be held will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Hoem, 100 Lake Point Drive, Oshkosh with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.The family extends sincere appreciation to the Special Care Unit Staff of Bethel Home for the gracious, loving care and concern shown to Alberta and her family over the past eleven years. Angels of love and mercy abide in all who have cared for her.
