Andrew T. Bean, age 86, of Oshkosh, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Monday July 6, 2009. He was born in Oshkosh, on May 6, 1923 a son of the late Daniel and Ethel Bloomer Bean. Andrew married Lucille Miller in Oshkosh, on October 12, 1945. She preceded him in death on June 13, 1983. Andrew married Jeanette Hansen Heise in Omro, on November 17, 1984.Andrew was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Utica, and de-horned cattle for many years. He was a former member and past president of the Pickett Lions Club. Andrew loved listening and dancing to Polka music and traveled the country with Tuba Dan. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Bean, of Oshkosh; three children, Janet (Rob) Gaddis, of Sun Prairie; Diane Fletcher, of Oshkosh and Thomas (Deb) Bean, of Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren, Bill Gaddis, of Rochester, MN; Kristine (Scott) DuCharme, of DeSoto, WI; Matt Gaddis, of Madison; Tara (Fianc Ryan Brzozowski) Fletcher, of Appleton; Cassandra (Jon) Dorn, of Oshkosh; Justin Fletcher, of Chicago; Dan (Tara) Bean, of Oshkosh; Andy Bean, of Oshkosh; Alex Bean, of Oshkosh; and Michael Bean, of Oshkosh; one great grand daughter, Taylor DuCharme, DeSoto; one sister-in-law, Hannah Miller, of Oshkosh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lucille, two brothers, four sisters and a son-in-law, Dennis Fletcher.Funeral services for Andrew will be held at First English Lutheran Church (1013 Minnesota St.) on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Family and friends may call at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and on Monday at the church from 10:00 am to the time of services. Interment will be at Ellenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.Andrews family extends a special thank you to Dr. Zenoun Abouzelam and his staff for their care and compassion and to the nursing staff of St. Elizabeth 2nd floor and I.C.U for the excellent care during his hospital stay.
