Anna Mae Rothenbach

October 23, 1913 — April 6, 2009

Anna Mae Rothenbach, 95, of Oshkosh, died on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Patriot Place, Berlin where she lived only a short time and immediately felt at home thanks to a warm and welcome staff. She was born on October 23, 1913 in the Town of Eldorado the daughter of Joseph L. and Anna Ford Marchant. Anna Mae married Henry B. J. Rothenbach on June 8, 1939 in Woodhull, WI. Henry preceded her in death on July 28, 2000.Anna Mae was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. She was a 1931 graduate of Rosendale High School and attended Marquette University. Before her marriage she was a dental hygienist in Fond du Lac. Survivors include two sons, Robert (Sondra) Rothenbach of Pine River, Gary (Kristine) Rothenbach of Neenah; two daughters, Joan (Stephen) Schettle of Pine River, Mary (Lyman) Riley of Warrens; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by, two brothers, Harold and George Marchant and two great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish - St Josaphat site, (1333 Walnut St.) with Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery.Mother was an inspiration to all. Her smile and helping hand was always there and she will continue to be our role model. It would be difficult to mention all who have been involved in mothers care through the years, but with love and appreciation in our hearts, we are truly grateful to you.It could be said many women have done admirable things, but you, mother, have surpassed them all.
