Ardyne Ione Shea

Ardyne I. Shea, 82, of Oshkosh, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on December 24, 1923, in the Village of Waukau, the daughter of Herbert and Irma Palfrey Minckler. Ardyne married Gerald Shea on October 14, 1944, in Oshkosh. Gerald preceded her in death on November 6, 1980.Mrs. Shea was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Oshkosh and had worked at Bethel Home. She had volunteered at the Grand Opera House and was a member of the Red Hat Society and several card clubs. Ardyne enjoyed playing Bunko, Cribbage, other card games and was an avid collector of Angel statues.Survivors include six children, Nancy (Dennis) Penney of Oshkosh, Bill (Phillis) Shea of Ann Arbor, MI, Jeff (Dixie) Shea and Jim (Brenda) Shea of Omro, Larry (Terri) Shea of Columbia, MD, Brian (Jane) Shea of Appleton; nine grandchildren, Meredith (Bill) Scheuermann, Ryan Shea, Eddie Shea, Christopher Shea, Tara Shea, Leah Shea, Logan Shea, Elaine Shea, Sarah Shea; three great grandchildren, Katrina, Maria and William Scheuermann. Also surviving are two brothers, Leon (Ena) Minckler of Milwaukee, Chuck Minckler of King, two sisters, Helen Doll of Madison and Marjorie Borgardt of Oshkosh.Ardyne was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Tim Shea; one grandson, Daniel Shea and one sister, Virginia Norton.The funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at 1:00 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 435 High Ave. with the Rev. Robert Kollath officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.The family would like to extend their thanks to Ardynes friends at Simeanna I for their help, and to her sister, Marge Borgardt and John and Suzanne Vette for their love, support and friendship.
