Ariel Mae Kumbier

Ariel M. Kumbier, 91, of Oshkosh, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Bethel Home, Oshkosh. Ariel was born on April 7, 1917 in the Town of Nekimi the daughter of Irwin and Hazel Fuller Jones. She married Norman A. Kumbier in Ring, WI on June 3, 1939. Norman preceded her in death on January 29, 1993.Mrs. Kumbier was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church. She was a member of the church Ladies Guild and the Telephone Pioneers. Ariel had been the phone operator in Pickett before moving to Oshkosh in 1951 where she was an operator for Wisconsin Bell.Survivors include two children, Richard (Sharon) Kumbier of Waukesha and Joan Kumbier of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Paul (Shannon) Kumbier, Jill (Michael) Tostrud, Dawn (James) Schuette, Chad (Jennifer) Kumbier, and Troy Kumbier; and six great grandchildren; Erica, Allison, Nathan. CJ, Lauren, and Bethany.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Norval Jones.The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:30 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home -Westside with the Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Memorials to Martin Luther Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Ariels family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for 10 years of loving care.
