Arlene June Stumpf

December 13, 1929 — January 15, 2016

Arlene J. Stumpf (ne Dobisch) passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. Arlene was born on December 13, 1929, to John and Esther Dobisch, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. A lifelong resident of Oshkosh, Arlene was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church and later became a member of Trinity Lutheran. She married Jack A. Stumpf and they had three children, Roger, Lance, and Sandra. As a young woman she cared for her elderly neighbors Bob and Goldie Pause, who were like a second set of parents to her and grandparents to her children. Her devotion to them and her husband and children was her greatest joy and the hallmark of her life. She was preceded in death by her son Roger and her husband Jack. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (who lived with her and tenderly cared for her in the last years of her life), her son Lance and his wife Alyson, and grandchildren Nicole Malone (husband Bobby and great-grandchildren Peyton and Hudson), Holly Cincunegui (husband Mikel), all of Austin, Texas, and Alex Stumpf, of San Francisco, California. Her beloved, adorable Tess misses her and will forever sit under the chair waiting for her "dropped" treats...The family would especially like to thank Dr. Thomas Mattio, Lynsie Bernier, the doctors and staff of Mercy Medical Center, and the Pick n Save pharmacy staff, all of whom gave assistance above and beyond with extraordinary kindness and compassion.Services will be held Tuesday, January 19th at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive in Oshkosh. There will be a viewing at 11 am with services at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
