Arlene Schmiedel

Arlene E. Schmiedel, 80, passed away peacefully March 5, 2014 with her family around her. She was born September 24, 1933 to the late Ralph and Ella (Miller) King. She married Ronald Schmiedel on October 24, 1953 at Grace Lutheran Church.Survivors include one son, Keith (Catherine) Schmiedel; four daughters, Karen (Don Garman) Reque, Kathy (Ron) Paulick, Kay (Mark) Yanke, Kim (Greg) Anderson; six grandchildren, Ron (Trish) Paulick Jr., Angela (fiance Shannon) Paulick, Justin (Brittany) Yanke, Jenna Yanke, Robert Sultze Jr., Ben Schmiedel; and one step grand-daughter, Jamie (Nick) Staub; six great-grand-children, Morgan Paulick, Denise Frieberg- Sultze, Caleb, Patrick, Reilly Paulick, Alex Paulick; three step-great-grand-children, Brianna, Hunter Hartwig, Grace Staub; and one soon to be great-grand-child.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dale King; and one grandson, Dylan Schmiedel.Arlene enjoyed going to the casino, and her cabin up north. She also enjoyed traveling after retirement. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Her biggest joy was watching her grand-children and great-grand-children grow up.Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, at Konrad-Behlman Westside from 9am until the funeral services at 11am, with Rev. Timothy Routh officiating. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
