Athena Ray Buehring “Mommy’s Angel” was born sleeping on October 18, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center.
Athena is survived by her parents, Penny Schoenberg and Justin Buehring; brother, Logan Reid Donald Buehring; Justin’s other siblings; grandmother, Cynthia Monroe; maternal great-grandfather, Dennis D. Monroe; maternal great-aunts Joan Junior, Donna Brookings and Barbra Hacker; Uncle Joe (Anna) Monroe; maternal uncle Chris Schoenberg and Dustin Lewis; maternal aunt Autumn Monroe; maternal cousins, Ani Monroe and Garth Junior; maternal great-uncle Steve Eaton; paternal great-aunt Sharon Hammes; great-uncle, Joe (Anna) Monroe; cousins, Kyle (Kellie) Hammes, Jen Kallas, Jill (Mike) Borst, Ryan (Justyne) Eaton, Justin (Shawn) Eaton and Eric Eaton. Athena is further survived by numerous other grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald “Fuzzy” Edward Strohecker Jr.; paternal great-grandfather, Donald Edward Strohecker Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Beatrice Maybelle Strohecker; maternal great-grandmother, Lois Joan Monroe; great-uncle, Mike Hammes; paternal great-aunts, Marsha Ann Scolley and Lori Eaton; cousin, Jennifer Lynn Wonders-Schoenberg, Jason Kallas, Blake Eaton and Aubry Eaton. She was further preceded in death by numerous other grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at Wesley United Methodist Church; 761 Florida Ave. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
