Barbara J. Sitzberger

Barbara J. Sitzberger, age 80, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday January 24, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center.  She was born on March 12, 1941 in Oshkosh a daughter of Frank and Lorraine Koehn Bloechl.  On August 22, 1964 she married Richard Sitzberger, he preceded her in death in 2010.

Family was very important to Barbara. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and had a special bond with her sister Jean.

For many years Barbara was a beautician and loved talking to her customers.  She enjoyed traveling especially to Las Vegas where she played the slot machines. In recent years, she enjoyed the local machines in various restaurants. Barbara had a soft spot for animals, often taking in a cat or dog who needed a home.

She is survived by her son Richard(Lori) Sitzberger, her daughter Lori(Jason) Geffers, seven grandchildren Jayna(Tyler), Kailey(Sarah), Matthew, Isaac(Megan), Nicholas(Karis), Victoria(Blaz), Tiffany; three great-grandchildren Zoanna, Luna, Pax, her sister Jean Bloechl, her brother Roger(Debra) Bloechl and one nephew Tommy(Erica) Bloechl.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Linda Sitzberger, and baby sister Bloechl.

Memorial services for Barbara are being scheduled for Spring 2022.A memorial will be established.
