Bernard A Rahmlow

Bernard Bernie Rahmlow, 64, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 25, 2013. He was born on October 22, 1948 in the Two Rivers area the son of Elroy and Donna Kohl Rahmlow. Bernie married Janice Schumacher on April 29, 1967 in Oshkosh. Bernie was an Oshkosh High School graduate and had been retired from furniture sales, where he had worked for over 30 years. Bernie was passionate about parakeets, where he achieved one of his proudest accomplishments by becoming a National Champion. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Caged Bird Club. Bernie also enjoyed his dogs and watching sports; especially the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. Survivors include his wife, Janice; sons, Tracy (Barb) Rahmlow of Green Bay, Shannon (Nancy) Rahmlow of Oshkosh; daughters, Angela (Mike) Hahn, Michelle (Frank) Hernandez, and Heather (Steve) Lenz all of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Brianna, Haley, Nathan, Macy, and Bennett Rahmlow, Lauren Hahn, Kayla, Allison, and Zackary Vilski, Ethan and Jordan Lenz; sisters, Beth (Ed) Oesterreich of Omro, and Becky Bor of Oshkosh; and many close friends who were very important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Brian and Elroy Butch Rahmlow; sisters, Barb Frank, Bonnie Peterson, and Beverly McCalmon. A memorial service will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 7:00 pm with the Rev Kim Krogstad officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
