Bernice Vinita Goerlitz

Bernice V. Goerlitz, 86, of Oshkosh died on Monday, May 8, 2006 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on December 22, 1919 in Oshkosh the daughter of George and Sylvia Hanselman Yancy. Bernice married Clarence Mike Goerlitz on September 6, 1941 in Oshkosh. Mrs. Goerlitz was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church in adult Sunday school, she served as a deaconess, the Womens Society, Tuesday Morning Womens Bible Study, and Young at Heart.Survivors include her husband, Clarence Mike, three sons, Richard (Cherri) Goerlitz of Flint, TX, Michael James (Jo An Walter) Goerlitz, James (Shirley) Goerlitz both of Oshkosh; one daughter, Patrice Miller of Oshkosh; one brother, Bud (Velma) Yancy of Gillett; one sister-in-law, Mary Yancy; 14 grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Radtke, Bethany Basler, Andrew Goerlitz, Scott Goerlitz, Tami (Luis) Ojeda, Heather Goerlitz (Fianc Joe Kotloski), Lori (Ryan) McGinnis, Ryan (Sara) Goerlitz, Jared Goerlitz (Fiance Melissa Orth), Kristen Goerlitz , Trisha Miller, Tara Miller, Chad Miller, and Matthew Miller, nine great grandchildren, Brandon Basler, Riese, Conner, Alec Radtke, Madelyn, Chloe Ojeda, Claire Goerlitz, Cal and Megan McGinnis.Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Yancy Jr.The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh with Rev. Rick Hopkins and Rev. Lynn Scovil officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
