Betty Florence Boynton

Betty F. Boynton, age 81 of Oshkosh died at Aurora Medical Center on Thursday, June 2, 2011. She was born in Oshkosh on July 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Gustav and Meta Petri Neubauer. On September 18, 1948, she married Robert Boynton. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1977.Betty was a member of First English Lutheran Church. She was an avid walker and enjoyed water aerobics at Evergreen Retirement Community. Betty loved to read, sew and spend time in her garden.Survivors include a son, Ricky (Alexis) Boynton; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Volkman; Barbara (Michael) Gibson, five grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Drier; Christopher Volkman; Jason (Desiree) Boynton; Ryan (Mindie) Boynton; Robert Gibson; and three great grandchildren, Cade, Nolen and Ambra Boynton, all of Oshkosh. Betty is further survived by two sisters, Lucille Jordan, Oshkosh; Mae (Richard) Lichtwald, Neenah; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Neubauer and Jean Petts, both of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Richard and Donald Neubauer; and one sister, Dorothy Potratz.Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to the time of service. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the First English Lutheran Youth Group.
