Bruce D. Ryf

Bruce Ryf passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, November 14, 2021. Bruce was born on January 7, 1947, to Alfred and Viola Ryf in Oshkosh. He married the love of his life, Beverly Oestreich, on September 27, 1969. They spent 52 amazing years together.

Bruce worked tirelessly for 51 years at the same company to provide for his family. He loved being outside and enjoyed keeping his yard and garage in meticulous order. Bruce and his wife, Beverly, who he lovingly called Maizy, made a home together that he was extremely proud of.

Bruce was known for his quick wit and the ability to make people laugh. He enjoyed quoting movies, tv shows, and making up song lyrics on the fly. Bruce was the happiest when spending time with family and creating things in his workshop. He had a skill of being able to build anything, just needing a picture for reference. He was amazing like that. He took great joy in making crafts and artwork for the people that mattered the most in his life. He had a great love of animals and was known by his family as the “dog whisperer.” There was never a dog that didn’t like him. He will be missed by his two dogs, Izzy and Reba.

Bruce is survived by his wife Beverly, his daughter Rebecca (John), his daughter Lisa (Tony), his son Nicholas (Kim), his daughter Kayla (Kyle), and his daughter Amanda (Ryan). He was also wonderfully blessed with 11 grandchildren; Colton, Kassidy, Gracie, Breanna, Kennedey, Brooklynn, Karolyna, Stella, Ashton, Ryder, and Blake, and 2 great-grandchildren; Charlee and Hayden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Family was everything to him. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Fay, and his brother Phillip.

The funeral service for Bruce will be held on Friday November 19, 2021, at 2pm at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh with Pastor Tom Voss officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm until the time of service.
