Bryan William Kallies

Bryan William Kallies 53, died November 8, 2008 at his home in the Town of Poygan, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. He was born in Shawano, WI, on June 15, 1955, the fifth child of 6 born to Albert and Videl (Sorenson) Kallies. He moved to Menasha, WI in 1960. Bryan graduated from Menasha High School in 1973 earning the journalism award. He then lived for ten years in Palouse, Washington. He was a skilled journeyman carpenter but his great passion became horticulture. Last year he planted over 150 trees- fruit trees, nut trees, shade trees and a garden filled with berries and long rows of asparagus. He lived his life with a kindness and consideration beyond measure.He is survived by his wife Louise Maxwell, his mother, Verdel Payne of Oshkosh; two brothers, Steven Kallies, Oshkosh and Rev. Bruce Kallies and Sherry, Rochester, MN; three sisters, Joan and Frank Pohl, Victoria, B.C.; Vickie and Paul Lee, Maryville, TN and Susan Kallies, Seattle, WA. He was loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.Memorial services will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Allenville Community Baptist Church (6629 Hilltop Rd.) with his brother, Rev. Bruce Kallies officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to the time of service. Inurnment will follow at Allenville Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
