Carlton L. Pitts, 80, of Oshkosh, died Saturday February 16, 2008 at Evergreen Retirement Community. He was born on December 17, 1927 in Oshkosh the son of Charles and Eva Nimke Pitts. On January 13, 1947 he married Sally Pitts in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2007.He was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church. He worked as a machinist for Rockwell for 35 years and enjoyed woodworking, biking, and walking.He is survived by two daughters Sandra (David) Schulz, and Jeanne (Wayne) Tollard all of Oshkosh, five grandchildren Troy (Joan) Tollard of Appleton, Paul (Tina) Tollard of Fond du Lac, James Schulz of Oshkosh, Andrew (Beth) Schulz of Oshkosh, Sarah (Tony) Kind of Pickett, 10 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law Dotty (Dave) Whitty of Neenah, Dougleen (Glenn) Pokrandt of Auburn, AL., Jacqueline Remo of Milpitas, CA., nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters Bernice Haase, Ruth Kluth, and Ione Larson.Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 23, 2008 at noon at All Saints Lutheran Church with Rev. Darin Wiebe officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Evergreen Retirement Community.
