Carol Doris Barter

Carol D. Barter, age 77 of Oshkosh, died at Evergreen Retirement Community on Sunday, August 22, 2010. She was born in Oshkosh on February 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Edward and Doris Flack Felker. Carol married Harold R. Barter in Oshkosh, on December 15, 1951.Carol was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved her family and enjoyed reading and gardening.She is survived by her husband, Harold, Oshkosh; one son, David Barter, Oshkosh; one daughter, Aimee (Jerry) Hannan, Winneconne; one brother, Mark (Jean) Felker, Oshkosh; one sister, Ruth Ann Elliott, Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Jason (Michelle Nourse) Bathke, Oshkosh; Jeff (Rebecca Erickson) Bathke, Seattle, WA; Christopher (Cindy) Barter, Omro; Sara Cartwright, Oshkosh; Michael (Erica Larsen) Cartwright, Big Sky, MT.; and one great grandson, Derek Bathke, Oshkosh. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, Leah Halstead, Sussex; Amy Wiley, Neenah; Eleanor Barter, Brookfield; Mary Ann Barter, Pewaukee and a brother-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Barter, Minocqua. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Christie Bathke and one sister, Judy Felker.Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 26, 2010 at 6:00 PM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside with Chaplin Vickie Marxen officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 PM to the time of the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established.The family extends a special thank you to Evergreen Retirement Community and Aurora Hospice for the excellent care and compassion given to Carol.
