Carolyn Evelyn Henslin

Carolyn E. Pep Henslin, 75, of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at her home with her loving family at her side. Carolyn was born on February 19, 1939 in Oshkosh the daughter of Carl and Emma Schmidt Bauer. She married Allen Henslin on June 13, 1964 in Oshkosh. Carolyn was a life long member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church where she had been in the choir in her younger years. She worked at Oshkosh Lanes and later at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church. She was a 1957 Oshkosh High School graduate and Carolyn had been a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and enjoyed music, bowling and playing cards.Survivors include her husband, Allen of Oshkosh; daughter, Darcy (Daryl) Duchatschek of Oshkosh; sons, Bradley (Jennifer) Henslin, Brian Henslin, and Shawn (Angela Meyer) Henslin all of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steven Henkel) and Amanda Duchatschek, Lucas, Noah, Mason, Blake, and Alexya Henslin. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur and Marvin Bauer; two sisters, Alice Plotz and infant, Betty Bauer.A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church (1206 Ontario St) with the Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
