Charlene Dishaw

Charlene Dishaw, age 60, Mama Dish to those who loved her, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Medical Center on January 2, 2019. She was born to the late Charles and Mary (Mattle) Zorsch on April 11, 1958 in Rochester, New York. Charlene’s early years were spent at Seton Hill where she graduated with her Bachelors of Arts and later received her master’s degree from Boston College. Although she had an interest in continuing her education toward her PHD, her desire to grow a family was stronger. She married the love of her life, Mark Dishaw, on November 19, 1983 in Fairport, New York. In later years, she adopted two beautiful children and mentored countless others as a teacher at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh, Wisconsin starting in the year 2005. Charlene was a member at St. Raphael’s the Archangel Parish. She was an old movie fanatic; she especially enjoyed action, comedy, or movies featuring Lucille Ball. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and collecting LuLaRoe. She was very active on social media, as many who were friends with her on Facebook know. Charlene was an amazing wife, mother, sister, teacher, friend and mentor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Charlene is survived by her husband, Mark; two children, Dante and Margaret Dishaw; siblings, Katie (Rick) Kodweis, Joe (Elaine) Zorsch, Monica (Tony) Geraci, and John Zorsch. In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Gerald Zorsch.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) and on Tuesday, January 8, from 10 a.m. at St Raphael’s Parish (830 S Westhaven Dr) until the time of service. A service will be held at 12 p.m. later that day. Special thanks to our New York family and our Wisconsin friends who have become family.
