Charles Mark Esselman

Charles M. Esselman, 60, of Oshkosh died in Oshkosh on Saturday, March 6, 2010. He was born on April 25, 1949 in Chippewa Falls, WI the son of Charles and Pauline Erhardt Esselman. Charles married Christine Fauk in Oshkosh on September 26, 1970. Charles was a Marine Corps Viet Nam Veteran. He had been a postal employee for many years. He was a supervisor at the Oshkosh Post Office and then was the Postmaster at the Brownsville Post Office until his retirement five years ago. He was a 1967 Lourdes Academy graduate and was a member of the Brownsville Lions Club.Survivors include his Wife, Christine of Oshkosh; Mother, Pauline Esselman of Oshkosh; son, Scott (Nickie) Esselman of Oshkosh; daughter, Tamara (Mark Wegener) Brandt of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Tyler and Joseph Esselman, and Anyssa and Brett Peters; brothers, James (Sandy) Esselman of Sun Prairie, Peter (Jeanne) Esselman of Oshkosh; sister, Barbara Esselman of Oshkosh; brothers-in-law, Bill (Jan) Fauk of Omro, Tom (Patty) Fauk and Ron Spalding both of Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Judy (David) Ludwig of Tempe AZ. Preceding Charles in death are his father, Charles; father-in-law Alvin Fauk; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Spalding.The funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.The Esselman family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Matt and Mary Fischer and the Aurora ICU staff especially Dan for the care given to Charles and the Town of Algoma First Responders and the Oshkosh Fire Department for all the help they gave at a difficult time.A memorial has been established to the Oshkosh Humane Society.
