Clara F Koch

Mrs. Clara F. Koch, age 95, of Ripon, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away Monday morning July 3, 2006 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, where she had lived for the past four years. Clara was born November 3, 1910 in Manawa, WI, the daughter of Herman and Adeline Wegner Hoppe. On April 26, 1930 she married Frank C. Buetow in Milwaukee. In 1943 they moved to the Buetow family farm near Big Twin Lake in Green Lake County, where they farmed for over 20 years. She later moved to Oshkosh where she worked at Kings Laundry and met her second husband. On June 7, 1969, Clara Buetow married George F. Koch of Oshkosh. They resided in Oshkosh until 1998 when they moved to Ripon. They attended Martin Luther Church in Oshkosh until their move to Ripon. Then they became members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Survivors include two children, Diane (Gerald) Zacharias of Ripon and David (Wilma) Buetow of Spring Lake Park, MN. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Robert (Sally) Hielsberg of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren, Tara (James) Koller of Ripon, LuAnn (Kevin) Rosenau of Ripon, Vanessa Zacharias of Milwaukee, Todd Buetow and friend Lisa of Minnesota, Mark Buetow of Farmington, MN, Patti (Lee) Johnson of Fridley, MN, Greg Hielsberg and friend Margarita of Florida, Julie (Mark) Konop of Stangelville, and Jim (Vicky) Hielsberg of Oshkosh; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Leona Klatt and Ruby Kasten both of Milwaukee, and many nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Frank DuWayne Buetow, a grandson, Mitchell Buetow, her husband George F. Koch, who died March 12, 2001 in Ripon, a daughter by marriage Barbara Koch Hielsberg, five sisters, Florence Hoppe Kalbus, Alice Hoppe Bent, Dorothy Hoppe Straub, Margaret Hoppe Collier, and Bernice Hoppe Sawicki, and two brothers, Harvey Hoppe and Carl Hoppe. Funeral services for Clara will be held Saturday July 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Family and friends may call at the Lake Pointe Dr. funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
