Clayton D. Hiland, 72, of Oshkosh, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh. Clayton was born on March 7, 1937 in Oshkosh the son of Roman and Lorraine Gumz Hiland. He married Shirley Scott on June 30, 1984 in Oshkosh.Clayton worked at Garvens Brothers Bus Co. for many years. He enjoyed hunting and being out doors. He was a model rail road enthusiast and was interested in remote control model airplanes and a member of Winnebago R. C. Flyers. Survivors include his wife Shirley of Oshkosh; two sons, Clayton R. (Brenda) Hiland of Kiel, James (Terri Villwock) Hiland of Oshkosh; one daughter, Renee (Jeff) Kasarsky of Oshkosh; two grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer Kroll) Hiland and Jennifer Highland both of Oshkosh; two great grandchildren, Alayna and Kaelyn; two brothers, Ronald K. (Vivian) Hiland of Pickett, Terry R. Hiland of Oshkosh; one sister, Patricia Lorraine Krohn of Oshkosh; one step-son, Steven (Rexi) Warner of Bloomington, MN; one step-daughter, Sandra (James) Bevels of Salisbury, NC; and five step-grandchildren, Colin Christiansen of Kiel, Jamie and Kyle Villwock both of Oshkosh, Steven and Elizabeth Bevels both of Salisbury, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jackie Jones; and one son, Kevin D. Hiland.The funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Rev. Chuck Davis officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to the time of service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
