Clifford H Schilcher

Clifford H. Duke Schilcher, age 81 of Oshkosh, died at Harbor House where he resided for the past two years. Cliff was born in Oshkosh on June 4, 1929, a son of the late Alfred and Agnes Robl Schilcher. On his birthday, June 4, 1955 he married Petronella Janiak. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2008.Clifford was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Mary Church. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1991 Cliff retired from Rockwell International after 31 years of employment. He was avid outdoorsman spending many hours hunting and fishing. He enjoyed repairing small engines and bowling. He was a member of the Rockwell Retirees Club and a volunteer at St. Marys Church. He also volunteered with and was a member of the Catholic Knights Insurance Society.Survivors include three sons, Robert (JoAnne) Schilcher, Pickett; Michael (Paula) Schilcher, Oshkosh; Timothy (Barbara) Schilcher, Oshkosh; two daughters, Sandra Schilcher, Port Washington; and Victoria (Matthew) Hibsch, Oshkosh; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Daniel, Joseph, Phillip, David Schilcher, Jonathan and Hallie Hibsch; one brother, Norman (Charlotte) Schilcher, Oshkosh; one sister, Mary Jane Schilcher, Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Petronella and six brothers, Leonard, Lawrence, Alvin, Sylvester, and Norbert Schilcher and John Robl.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St Mary Church (605 Merritt Ave.) at Noon on Thursday, December 9, 2010 with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating, followed by Military Honors. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to the time of Mass. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to the Alzheimers Association has been established.A special thank you to Allay Hospice and the staff at Harbor House for the compassionate care given to Cliff.
