Colin Alexander Rasor

February 8, 1987 — April 10, 2012

Colin A. Rasor Jr., age 25, our son, our brother, my fianc, our uncle, and our friend, finally won his three year battle with cancer. On Tuesday morning, April 10th, 2012, our Lord called him home for his greatest duck hunting and fishing adventures yet to come. Colin was at home with his family when he left for his journey. Colin was born February 8th, 1987 to Colin A. and Tina E. (Walters) Rasor Sr. Colin graduated with Honors from Oshkosh North High School where he played varsity soccer and in 2004 was given an Honorable Mention in the Fox Valley Association as a goalie, a position he played in the Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club, the Oshkosh United Soccer Club, and all four years at North High School. Colin also spent two seasons coaching for the Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club. Colin went on to attend and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Waste Water Management. Colin asked and became engaged to the one true love of his life, Allison M. Burns, on December 10th, 2010 and had a wedding planned for September 15th, 2012. Colin had a great passion for hunting and fishing, but nothing made him happier than sitting in the duck blind with family and friends. Colin also had a love for golf, softball, and throwing darts, from which he was able to meet a great number of new friends to go along with all the friends he had made from grade school thru college. Colin was a special young man who was able to touch everyone he met and will truly be unforgettable and will be sadly missed by all of us. He is survived by his mother, Tina E. Rasor; father, Colin A. Rasor Sr.; fiance, Allison M. Burns; two sisters, Sondra M. Rasor and Elisha E. Rasor; two brothers, Joshua J. (Paulita M.) Rasor and Travis C. Rasor; grandmother, Barbara M. Rasor; nieces, Ellie M. Burns, Trinity G. Rasor, Sydnee D.S. Wright, Melanie M. Bentley, and Addisyn L. Bentley; and two nephews, Logan A. Rasor and Landon E. Rasor. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald J. Rasor; grandmother, Olive H. Walters, and several aunts and uncles. A funeral service for Colin is being held Saturday April 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church (1100 East Murdock Ave,), Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Colins family would like everyone attending to wear casual clothing, preferably camouflage or Team Colin t-shirts. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Colins name.
