Daniel Mark Shears, age 50, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1970 in Chicago, IL to Danny and Hertistine Shears. Daniel attended George W. Collins High School in Chicago and later attended UW-Oshkosh where he met Courtney Kuhn. Daniel was united in marriage to Courtney on September 24, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. They were blessed with two children.

Daniel loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with his children. He liked to take family vacations, watch his children play sports, and watch Olivia perform in dance recitals. He liked to fish and play baseball and basketball especially with his children. Daniel enjoyed listening to music and watching sports. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. His favorite games were when the Bears played the Packers especially when the Bears won so he could tease the family Packer fans. Daniel also was a great cook and loved to make soul food for the family. He was currently employed at Neenah Paper Company.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Courtney Shears; children: Azalia, Olivia, and Jayden Shears; mother, Hertistine (Rolland) Walker; siblings: Geraldine Fox, Monique Shears, Anjanette Shears, Meoshea Walker, Jelleen Walker, Marty (Marilyn) Eggleston, Drew Shears, Renee (Johnny) Dukes, Billy Walker Jr., and Gloria Walker; mother and father-in-law: Tom and Mary Kuhn; brother-in-law, Chad (Caitlin) Kuhn; sister-in-law, Danielle (Nick) Nelson; numerous nieces, nephews, and fraternity brothers Alpha Phi Alpha Incorporated. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Shears.

Private family services will be held. Daniel will be deeply missed by all.
