David L. Veith

January 17, 1957 — February 27, 2021

David “Sparky” Veith, 64, loving husband, father and grandfather, died unexpectedly on February 27, 2021 at Mercy Hospital.

David was born in Oshkosh January 17, 1957 the son of the late Tom and Jean (Boushele) Veith. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1975 and began his working career as an electrician for Lark Electric. He later became a Journeyman Wireman working for many companies for the IBEW Local 577 in Appleton, Wi for 35 years. He was also an accomplished carpenter making beautiful furniture for his home, children and grandchildren.

Dave loved the outdoors and always said that was his church, only God could create such beauty. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved to dance with the trout in the stream and watch the wildlife from high above in the trees. We would like to mention his best hunting buddy and friend Paul Staerkel, his nephew, who also introduced David and Nancy to each other. David and Nancy spent almost 35 wonderful years together.

David is survived and his memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Nancy; son, David (Kristine); daughter, Katie (Bug); grandchildren: Kylee, Lydia Veith, Sebastian (Bean) Blau and Bean’s father, Scott Blau. He is further survived by his sister, Linda (Randy) Crozier; brother, Tommy; sisters-in-law: June (Bill) Selwitschka, Geraldine Dobbratz, Mary Staerkel, Jeane (Bill) Vincent; and brothers-in-law: David (Shirley) Staerkel and Phillip (Donna) Staerkel.

Private family services will be held and a celebration of David’s life will be held at a future date this summer for extended family and friends.

May the Lord shine His light upon you may the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.
