David Lester Griffin

David L. Griffin, 77, of Van Dyne, died on Monday, April 8, 2013 at his home. He was born on January 31, 1936 in Milwaukee. David married Penny Yates on May 7, 1968 in Rockford, IL. David was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Nekimi and a member of the Van Dyne Lions Club. He was a machinist at Mercury Marine and enjoyed shooting and fishing.Survivors include his wife, Penny of Van Dyne; daughters, Denise (Jim) Waterman of Florida, Pamela (Rodney) Stobb of Fond du Lac; sons, Matthew (Laura) Yates of Brandon, Brian Cope of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Kayla, Amber, Derek, Alyssa, Brooke, Caleb, and Joshua; great granddaughters, Gladys and Vera. David was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Nekimi (491 Old Oregon Rd.) at Noon with the Rev. James Reiff officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service.In lieu of flowers donations to a memorial would be appreciated.
