David Paul Soenksen

David Louie P. Soenksen, 52, of Oshkosh died Friday December 7, 2007 at Alterra Sterling House in Neenah. He was born January 18, 1955 in New London a son of August and Vernetta Thielen Soenksen.He moved to Clinton, Iowa in 1959, and Graduated from Clinton High School in 1972. In 1980 he graduated from Iowa State University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he practiced Veterinary Medicine in Walcott, Dubuque, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Oshkosh, Wi. He owned his own private Veterinary practice in Wheatland, Iowa from 1983 until 1990. Louie was a loyal fan of both the Iowa State Cyclones and Green Bay Packers.He is survived by two daughters Shayna Soenksen of Boston, MA., Alyssa Soenksen of Cedar Falls, IA., two brothers John(Jenny) Soenksen, of Bettendorf, IA., Roger(Cathy) Soenksen of Harrisonburg, VA., one sister Bette(Alan) Dean of Broomfield, CO., sister-in-law June Soenksen of Clinton, IA., and Aunt Luella Soenksen Anderson, cousins Ron, Soenksen, Jim Soenksen, Tom Soenksen, Cindy Soenksen Swanson, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dale Soenksen, and a nephew Michael Soenksen.Private family services will be held.
