David Petersen

David D. Petersen, age 71, of Belgium, WI formerly of Oshkosh and LaCrosse died on January 31, 2006. David was born on March 11, 1934 in Oshkosh a son of Andrew N. and Sophia Fritz Petersen.David had been a member of the United Methodist Church in Stoddard, the Lions Club in Stoddard, and the Stoddard Village Board; the LaCrosse Stamp Collecting Club and the Chaseburg Rod and Gun Club. He had been employed by the West DePere Country Store, drove truck for Ripon Good Cookies and then owned the Stoddard Hardware Store for 17 years where he retired in 2003.Survivors include four nieces, Deb (John) Arndt of Port Washington, Lynn (Jim) Pokey of Fredonia, Marcia (Dan) Braunsky of Cape Coral, FL, Sandy (Joel) Schlehlein of Port Washington; a sister-in-law, Constance Cottrell-Petersen, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Petersen.Funeral service for David will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 12:00 pm at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Westside with the Rev. Lewis Lebakken Jr. officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ellenwood Cemetery.
