Delores M. Donker

Delores M. Donker, 85, of Oshkosh died Monday December 31, 2012, at Eden Meadows. She was born January 7, 1927 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Raatz) Elmer. She married the love of her life Edward Donker on October 11, 1947, in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1978. Delores was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a dedicated mother and caregiver raising four young daughters while caring for her invalid husband for over 10 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing cards, bingo, bowling, gardening, bird-watching, music, and most importantly she loved spending time with her family. Delores is survived by four daughters, Kathy (Ron) Groskreutz, Patti (Tom) Pucker, Gail (Mike) Bohn, and Kim (Steve) Bahr; a brother, Richard Elmer; two sisters, Evelyn Kulibert and Jean (Ron) Boushley; nine grandchildren, Lori (Kurt) Kress, Lisa (Joseph) Abitz, Jill (Dennis) Schaffer, Shannon (Peter) Wright, Amy (Jessie) Schneider, Nicole (Brian) Evans, Jason Bohn, Bryan (Jessica) Bahr, and Kristy Bahr (Jerry Kope); fourteen great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Foxy. She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Judith; a granddaughter, Sarah; and several brothers and sisters. A funeral service for Delores will be held Friday January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Ritchie Cole officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
