Denise A. Kalbus

Denise A. (Baerwald) Kalbus, age 51, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with her sons and family by her side at Oro Valley Hospital in Arizona.
She was born on July 27, 1966 in Oshkosh to Dennis and Marie (Marsicek) Baerwald. In her younger years she attended St. Vincent grade school and Oshkosh West High School. She was an employee with Wal-Mart for 25 years. Denise especially loved her “boys” and supported them in all the activities they were involved with over the years. She enjoyed playing with a co-ed and women’s softball leagues, Jazzercise, and attending concerts and picnics with family and friends. Denise had an appreciation for the outdoors and reading.
Denise is survived by her sons, Alex, Robert, and Cory (special friend: April Jozwiak) Kalbus; their father, Todd Kalbus. She is also survived by her mother, Marie Baerwald; brothers, Brian (Christine) Baerwald, Bradley (Sueann) Baerwald; sisters, Renee (Mark) Marhefke and Michelle Baerwald. She is further survived by nine nieces and nephews, William, Nathan, Mellanie, Cody (Lacie) and Libbie Marhefke; Justin, Christopher and Catherine Baerwald; Jonah Wojciechowski; two grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Denise was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Baerwald; and her grandparents, Clarence and Bernice Baerwald, Henry and Catherine Marsicek.
She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends but never forgotten as Denise touched the hearts of every person that had the honor of knowing her. She is now at rest in peace with the Lord.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Konrad-Behlman Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr., Oshkosh, WI 54902 with Lyn Zahorik officiating. A service will be held at 7:00pm following the visitation. Burial will take place at a later date at Brooks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established for the family.
