Diane C. Leichtfuss, age 72, passed away on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center with family by her side. She was born on July 31, 1942 to Milton and Clare (Stanish) Parker. She was married to George Leichtfuss on November 9, 1974 at St. John Lutheran Church Nekimi.Diane graduated from Oshkosh high School and went on to be a machine operator at Hoffmasters. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers, bowling, and especially enjoyed summer vacations going to the family cottage. Diane was a part of a card club with her husband and also was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church.Diane is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Theresa Stahmann; brothers, Alan (Helen) Parker of Pickett and John Parker of Oshkosh; sisters, Carol (James) Werner of Oshkosh, Sue (Al) Pilsl of Hancock, and Gloria (Steve) Neuenfeldt of Two Rivers; grandchildren, Matthew Stahmann, Melissa (Mike) Knutson, Stephanie (Joel) Schneider, and Ben (Rhoda) Stahmann, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, and Sarah Schneider, Hailey, and Leah Knutson, and Madilyn and Colin Stahmann.She is also survived by an aunt and uncle Mary and Kelly Clark; many nieces and nephews; and sister and brothers in law.Diane was preceded in death by her parents.A funeral service will be held for Diane at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church- Nekimi (491 Old Oregon Road.) with Rev. James Reiff officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Fish Lake Cemetery in Hancock, WI.Memorials may be made to the Food Pantry, the Humane Society, or to St. John Lutheran Church of Nekimi.First Impressions While on a walk one day, I was surprised to see a man hoeing his garden while sitting in a chair. What laziness! I thought. But suddenly I saw, leaning against his chair, a pair of crutches. The man was at work despite his handicap.
