Don Hal Madaus

December 18, 1932 — April 18, 2009

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Don Hal Madaus, Big D 76 of Oshkosh, WI was called home by his Lord on Saturday April 18th, 2009. He was born December 18, 1932, to Alfred G. and Vera (Zarling) Madaus. He married the love of his life Carol Doemel on June 15, 1952, in Marinette WI. Don worked 39 years for Kimberly-Clark Corporation as an Electrician before retiring in 1990. He had a special love for Oshkosh and Lake Winnebago. In his younger years, he spent time hunting, fishing, and sailing with his friends and relatives. He had a passion for the outdoors and a deep love of his God and country which he passed on to his children. He treasured camping trips and outdoor recreation with his family. After retiring, he loved spending time at his cottage in Princeton and his hunting camp in Three Lakes Wisconsin. The traditions of deer camp were very special for him. Don always had an uplifting word and a Bible verse to share with his family and friends that expressed Gods love. He was an enthusiastic Packer fan and enjoyed watching them play. Don will be sadly missed as he made friends everywhere he went, he touched the lives of many. He enjoyed the company of the Kimberly Clark retiree group and looked forward to their monthly get together. Don had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh, smile and he always wanted you to know that you are important. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol, his Children, Cheryl (Mike) Robl, Patti (Roy) Karst , Paula (Kevin) Kundert, Timothy (Teresa Basiliere-Madaus) Madaus, Greg (Debbie) Madaus, and Amy (Randy) Locke all of Oshkosh.
