Donald Leo Rowe

Donald L. Rowe, 76, of Oshkosh, died Friday December 29, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born Aug. 13, 1930 in Oshkosh the son of Chester and Lucille Henderson Rowe. On December 12, 1953 he married Beverly Doemel.Donald was a veteran of the military, a member of Christ Lutheran Church, loved gardening, and rollerskating. He worked at the Winnebago County Highway Department for 34 years and part time at Radtke Electric for many years.He is survived by his wife of 53 years Beverly, two daughters, Lisa(Laurin) Hoffmann, and Leslie Schultz all of Oshkosh, five grandchildren Ingrid(Jason Jones) Hoffmann of Oshkosh, Brooks Hoffmann of Trempealeau, Amanda(Kevin) Hoffmann Kiesow, Olivia Robinson, Autumn Schultz all of Oshkosh, two great-grandchildren Logan Walter, Nolan Walter, three sisters-in-law Jacqueline(Gordon) Wischow, Joyce(Glenn) Clark all of Oshkosh, Delores Doemel of Antigo, and his step-mother Mildred Rowe of Fond du Lac.He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Mary Boelter, his parents, two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a cousin Harland Boelter.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 3, 2007 at 5 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 3p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank Dr. Hanes and the nurses at Affinity Intensive Care Unit.
