Donna J Krueger

December 7, 1937 — February 14, 2012

Donna J. Krueger was born into eternal life to be with Jesus on February 14, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with emphysema. She was born on December 7, 1937, the daughter of George Miller and Mary (Miller) Kozlowski. She married Bill Krueger on June 5, 1958. Donna and Bill raised five beautiful daughters together. Donna was extremely proud of her children and had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Despite being in almost constant discomfort in her last years, Donnas faith and infectious sense of humor never wavered. She was cared for diligently and tenderly by her devoted husband, the love of her life, who was always at her side. After raising her children, Donna worked at the Lenox Candle Company for over twenty years. She was a talented artist, drawing pencil sketches of her grandchildren as well as her beloved cats. Donna was also a gifted and tireless seamstress who knitted an amazing quantity of colorful scarves for the important ladies in her life. As her strength diminished, Donna derived great joy from the simple pleasures of watching the birds outside her window or viewing the latest DVD release while curled up next to Bill. She loved crossword puzzles and board games, yet despite her competitive nature and stubborn need to win, Donna was inclined to look the other way when her daughters cheated at Scrabble or Yahtzee. And she LOVED Brett Favre.Donna is survived by her husband, Bill, and her girls Kristy (Gary) Davis, Jody (Scott) Hutchinson, Sharli Mockus, Jenny Stusek, and Melanie (Joe) Weber; grandchildren Jennifer (Jason) Baker, Katie and Peter Davis, Mindi (Chad) Crawford, Marla Mockus, Mackenzie, Joseph, Lucas, Olivia, and Charlie Weber; great-grandchildren Connor, Carson, Claire and Clark Baker; and Paige Broderick; her brother Doug (Cindy) Kozlowski; and her sister-in-law Salome DiCianni. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Joanne Piper.Private memorial services for family will be on Friday, February 17, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home.We know breathing is easier in Heaven.Thank you, Mom, for all the sacrifices you made,Especially that through all your pain and suffering you stayed. You wanted to make sure wed all be alrightWhen you finally let go to take your final flight. We love you with all our heart.~Kristy, Jody, Sharli, Jenny, Melanie
