Doris M Martin

Doris Martin, 85, passed away on January 4, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center. Doris was born on February 12, 1936, in Oshkosh, WI, to the late Eldor and Elma (Lichtfus) Boeshaar. Doris married Richard “Mike” Martin on June 30, 1962, in Oshkosh.
She started her career in the Register of Deeds Office and later became Head of the Child Support Agency in Winnebago County.
Doris was a Member of an Oshkosh Kiwanis Club. She joined the Oshkosh Area Women’s Association in 1975. She was a very active member and friend, who will be missed by all. Doris taught Sunday School for many years at Peace Lutheran Church. From little on Doris loved horses and owned one when living on the family farm. Very young, Doris even put canning jar lids on her feet to sound like a horse. She never missed watching the Kentucky Derby.
She and Mike always enjoyed going with their friends in the car group out eat on Friday nights and to antique car shows.
Doris is survived by her sister, Elaine Bradley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Martin. And, very recently, she was joined in heaven by her sister, Germaine Nelson.
The Service for Doris Martin will be held at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel on January 8, 2022 at 12PM. A visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service.
