Doris M Raab

Doris M. Raab, age 85, passed away at Aurora Medical Center on April 2, 2022. She was born to the late George and Elaine (Samuelson) Prelwitz on December 13, 1936, in Ripon. She was the last of five children. She married Richard Raab on November 6, 1963; they had one daughter. Doris had worked for Standard Klosments where she was given the nickname "Petunia" and then went on to Miles Kimball. Later, cleaning became her specialty. She was self-employed for many years with a huge private home client base. Doris also worked for Manpower at numerous locations like: City Hall, Oshkosh National Bank, Mercury Marine, Yonkers at the Fox River Mall, and Menasha Schools to name a few before her retirement. She spent her life collecting things like clothing with birds, butterflies, and anything purple. She also had a passion for taping movies and tv shows, taking pictures, doing her puzzle books, as well as playing card games like Solitaire, Cribbage, Canista. Doris was most proud of completing her GED at age 40 with a B average, her cleaning skills, and her daughter.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Julia (Raab) Hansen; nieces and nephews, David (Mary) Prelwitz, Christine (Wayne) Muhonen, Denise (Prelwitz) Chezam, Tom (Connie) Prelwitz, Roy Prelwitz, Roxy (Weir) Ross, and Mike Weir, Robin (Jim) Van Wagner, Jeffrey (Dawn) Prelwitz Brenda Connor, Vickie Sue Apple and Bobbie Jo Prelwitz. She was further survived by her many great - and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by Richard; her siblings, "Her favorite marine" William Prelwitz, Richard Prelwitz, Sally (Harry) Weir, Phyllis (Herbert) Lueck, nephews Dale Prelwitz, and David Lueck.

A private service will be held by the family.

Doris' family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical ICU for their kind and compassionate care of Doris.
