Dorothy H. Pfaffenroth

Dorothy Pfaffenroth loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma & sister passed away on January 4, 2021 at 91 years old.
She was born the 1st of 9 children to Ernest & Ruth Pettit on Dec. 22 1929.
She married Seymour Hassler, he proceeded her in death in 1984. On Feb 10, 1990 she married Lawrence Pfaffenroth in Oshkosh.
Dorothy retired from Vulcan Materials in 1989. She loved to spend time with her kids & grandkids, she always had some kind of homemade treats for them when they came by. She will be remembered for her quick wit, fast comebacks and her homemade muffins. She so enjoyed her Kmart “runs” with her daughter and car rides with her son.
She leaves behind her husband Larry, her children; John (Brenda) Hassler, Jill (Matt) Vaughan; grandkids; John Jr. (Sydney) Hassler, Heidi (Zach) Anderson, Megan (Logan) Hassler & 1 great grandson; Greyson. Her sister, Carol Harnitz; brothers, Wally Pettit, Jim (Char) Pettit, Tom (Kathy) Pettit, Dale (Peggy) Pettit & John (Ruth) Pettit along with numerous nieces & nephews. Also, surviving is her stepchildren Sandra Strum & Duane Hoffman, 3 step grandchildren & 6 step great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her first husband Seymour, sister Lois (Otto) Manthe, brother Ernie (Patricia) Pettit. Brother-in-law Gene Harnitz and sister-in-law Shirley Pettit.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family service was held.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Bethel Home for all their care & compassion on mom’s final days.
Rest in peace mom…we love you a whole bunch!
