Dorothy Mae Hopka

Dorothy M. Hopka, 68, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday January 22, 2008 at Park View Health Center. She was born June 26, 1939 in New London a daughter of Lester and Mary Fields. She was worked at Oshkosh Truck where she was a proud member of the union. She loved owls and dogs.She is survived by her husband Gerald Hopka of Oshkosh, her children Jeff(Darlene) Strong of Florida, Kim Strong of Oshkosh, Douglas(Debra) Strong of Oshkosh, Troy Staerkel of Oshkosh, Trent(Linda) Staerkel of Oshkosh, her mother Mary Fields, one step-son Dale Hopka of Oshkosh, one brother Willie(Mary) Fields, four sisters Betty(Merle) Weggie, Nancy(Bobby) Besaw, Pat Fields, Shirley(Gaeton) Phillileoan all of New London, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father and her ex-husband Ralph Strong.Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 27, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Jeff Strong officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial has been established.A special thank you to the staff at Park View Health Center.
