Dorothy Mae Hoxtell

Dorothy M. (Toby) Hoxtell, 89, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 11, 2016, at Park View Health Center surrounded by her children. Dorothy was born May 29, 1926 to Viola (Kunde) and Joseph Bloechel. She married Russell J. Hoxtell, Sr. on September 9, 1949. She was employed as a legal secretary for many years by Dempsey Law Office. Toby enjoyed gardening and growing orchids, and she was a lifelong Cubs fan. Survivors include Tobys five children: Russell Jr. (Jennifer), Oshkosh; Christine (Barry) Corliss, Coral Springs, FL; Jeffrey (Milissa) Hoxtell, Oshkosh; Patricia Hoxtell, Neenah; and Barbara (Jamie) Haddock, Oshkosh; ten grandchildren: Matthew Hoxtell, Chicago, IL; Wade (Annette) Hoxtell, Berlin, Germany; Joshua (Gina) Corliss, Richmond, VA; Ashley (Peter) Ventre, Fort Lauderdale, FL; Kelly (Clint) Nieforth, Neenah; Katie Hoxtell, Oshkosh; John (Gabbie) High, Neenah; Sarah High, Milwaukee; Ross Haddock and Allison Haddock, both of Oshkosh; seven great grandchildren: Eleni and Lucia Hoxtell, Berlin, Germany; Isabella Hoxtell, Chicago, IL; Joshua and Jayden Corliss, Richmond, VA; and Evan and Colin Nieforth, Neenah; further survived by a sister, Jewel (Dick) Kempinger, Oshkosh.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Ruth (Harold) Kirk.As per Tobys wishes, there will be no visitation. Interment will be in Riverside Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Park View Health Center, Woodside 2, for their excellent, compassionate care.
